One Weird Thing We Do

I give myself a break from Japan’s posts for a while. (It has been three days though, oh) 😐

I feel like sharing this one odd thing my colleagues and I often do at office; how we stirring our instant coffee.

At our office, there is someone who prepares the office’s troops daily mood booster; coffee and tea. Both things are served in two separated big pitchers, enough to fulfill the entire office’s booster need until the end of working hour. However, for this passed two weeks, I notice that our daily coffee intake is increasing. Therefore, we often make our own cups of coffee and mostly the instant one. Making an instant cup of coffee might not sound weird, but the way we stir it. Since the office’s kitchen is on the second floor and isolated far behind, we are too lazy to go upstairs, whether to boil the water or to take a spoon for stirring the coffee. So, we just use the hot water from the closest water dispenser and as for stirring it, here come the weirdness; we use the coffee’s sachet. We roll it into a sturdy stick-shaped, and then use it for stirring the instant coffee, so the mixture of coffee granules, sugar, and cream are blended well. No one told us to do it that way, however each of us would do the same thing whenever we make an instant coffee, despite of the fact that we store it carelessly. It’s one of little things that I enjoy doing with my office mates.

What do you think about that? Is that weird enough? Or just normal? Do you have shareable weird habit?

    1. kalau itu enggaklah tapi pas aku di radio ada satu penyiar senior yang pemalas bgt. kalau lagi bikin kopi (dengan cara sama) trus ngaduknya dengan apa aja yang dia temuin. Semisal pulpen, yah pake pulpen ahhaha. Euuww

    2. Ewww, kalo pulpen gak sih mba, itu kayanya agak parah, kadang sedotan dari minuman jatah di kotak makan. Kalo lagi agak mikir sok bersih, di balik dulu sachet-nya, terus di buat buat ngaduk. πŸ˜€

  1. It’s not weird, its resourcefulness πŸ™‚ If some neat freaks are worried about dirt and germs from the foil pack, they have to remember that the coffee water is too hot. Hence. bacteria and all those threatening stuff will not survive πŸ˜›

    1. Hehehehehe, biasanya gaya begini emng laku dikalangan perokok. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ kalo sudah ngumpul2 di luar sambil ngerokok.

  2. Aduh… kok aku stress liatnya? hahaha.. kalo gak ada sendok, biasanya pas nuang air panasnya suka rada tinggian, biar yg bawahnya bisa cair duluan, jadi kalau ternyata masih menggumpal, yah udah, biarin aja.. #anaknyasokrresik haha..

    2. Hehehehe, kalo gtu coba di balik dulu aja, baru dilipet2 biar sisa2 butiran kopi dan gula di pembungkus bagian dalam ikut teraduk, malah maksimal. πŸ˜€

  3. hahahaha … gak pernah tuh yun’. tp kl ga ada sendok, trus ada sumpit kayu bekas makan bakmi trus sm OB dicuci, ngaduk pakai itu. untung sih di kantor disediakan sendok2x kecil di pantry-nya.
