How Can I Forget You, Sydney?

No woman should have a memory. Memory in a woman is the beginning of dowdiness, said Lord Illingworth. –Woman of No Importance by Oscar Wilde- I was a little bit annoyed while reading that line in Wilde’s book, but now, I think I gradually become dull. So Sydney, in order to stop thinking about you and I become really really out-of-date because of these-so-yesterday-Sydney-stories, let’s accomplish everything here! In one post. So, here we are on my fifth day in Sydney. That was my most lazy time while in Sydney. After bidding our (temporary) goodbye, I didn’t feel like strolling … Continue reading How Can I Forget You, Sydney?

Oh Sydney

Time does fly really fast might sound cliché, but it’s true somehow. It has been three years since my trip to Sydney. When I first came back from Sydney, I promised myself (agaiiinnnn, Yuna?) to post the entire story of my trip, even to the point that would make people get sick of it. But, as you can see on my wall, I just posted one story about Sydney, and I have never written anything since then. I think I’m the one who gets sick of writing it, even before making the readers sick of reading it. That’s my classic … Continue reading Oh Sydney

Pieces of My Memory of Canberra

Another destination, another story, another memory, and I’m recollecting the scattered pieces of it. Long tunnel When we about to leave Sydney for Canberra, we passed a tunnel, my friend said that was a longest tunnel in Sydney. I forget what its name, and all I can remember is Ibam needed about 5 minutes to get us crossing the tunnel. It was suffocating for me, for being quite a long time in the darkness while moving. Not a good started for a first time travelling, but worth of experience. Lake George The roadsides from Sydney to Canberra really fed up … Continue reading Pieces of My Memory of Canberra

Hoping some Blue on Blue Mountain, Katoomba, NSW, Australia

I think from now, it will be hard for me to forget about what happened a year ago in Blue Mountain, the same way I celebrate my birthday each year, I’ll commemorate October 12 every year as one of my bravest and most reckless moment in my life, a sequel of our trip to Australia. It has been one year, but the memories last, especially how we were trapped in unexpected snow at Katoomba and we were struggling to make our way to its main attraction, Three Sisters at Echo Point while the others turned their back on it. It … Continue reading Hoping some Blue on Blue Mountain, Katoomba, NSW, Australia

Touchdown, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

A year ago, on this day (October 11, 2013) was the first time I laid my feet on others-third-country-I-want-to-live-in ground’s Australia, to be precise Sydney. Over five years of dreaming, 8 months of waiting and preparing, finally it’s done (or at least casted my feet on its ground is counted). Feeling the spring breeze for the first time and honestly the cold air chilled through my bone by my thin and not so supporting cardigan for the season. Forget about that windy cold air, I enjoyed every first moment during our trip there, especially the first half day. Landed around … Continue reading Touchdown, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
