Lunch at Ceking Terrace, Tegallalang

At the end of May i had another chance to visit Tegallalang in Bali. My last trip to that place just to see how was the Terrace Ceking, but at this trip i had a chance to spend a longer time there, had a lunch while enjoying the fresh air and nice scenery of Tegallalang. Ah, maybe one thing that made it a little bit different was some part of green leaves which turned in to yellow; I think we were not far from harvest time. 😀 I forget the name of restaurant where we had lunch, but it is … Continue reading Lunch at Ceking Terrace, Tegallalang

Bali; Little Things that Attracted My Eyes

Dupa all around on the city and intersections, sculpture of gods, early morning pray, fruits stall arrangement, and crafts. Yess, those things were captured my eyes during my trip on Bali Island, Indonesia (saying this as if I’m not an Indonesia, kekekeke). As my first time there, I couldn’t resist those sights and my mind as usual started to think random thing about it (that’s why I call it scattered mind of mind). What first thing that caught me was dupa all around on the city and each intersection, I even found it was laying on the beach. I know … Continue reading Bali; Little Things that Attracted My Eyes

Suddenly Bali (III); Fussy Last Day, Kute – Legian

Last day, I think in each travel, holiday, trip, or whatever we might call it, always gives me ‘I want to use it well, give it my all and my best’ spirit. Rushing with dusk, I woke up at 5.00 am and at 6.00 I was well prepared, then directly put my step out of my room. With this ’45 independence zest on me, I walk cheerfully along the empty and hallow Double Six Street Legian. I was planning to make a stop awhile at the beach because I wanted to feel the air of it at early morning and … Continue reading Suddenly Bali (III); Fussy Last Day, Kute – Legian

Suddenly Bali (II); Highland to Lowland; Kintamani to Legian

Still from day I, from Tegallalang, we drove to Kintamani, northern part of Tegallalang. With window open wider, we reached higher part of Bali Island, Kintamani (1730 m above sea level). As our car approaching Mount Batur, I felt the fresh air was kissing my cheeks, and the smell was touching my nose. Enjoying the feeling, without me realizing, suddenly I’d been faced the beautiful Mount Batur.  I didn’t intent to climb its peak that time, so it was enough to feel its greatness from far (I put aside my geologist adventure for awhile). The view of Mount Batur and … Continue reading Suddenly Bali (II); Highland to Lowland; Kintamani to Legian

Suddenly Bali (I); Ubud – Tegallalang

Suddenly Bali. After spending one night at Surabaya, I went to Bali, it was a sudden decision. I planned it H-2 before I got my field break. I usually plan a travel or holiday at least 2 months before my schedule. Since it was my first time, I was really enthusiast. With limited time, I prepared anything that I could prepare. I planed where to go, what to eat, where to eat, what to do, where to eat, what to eat, and eat again. Like usual, I didn’t want to miss a thing (*suddenly singing Uncles from Aerosmith song; I … Continue reading Suddenly Bali (I); Ubud – Tegallalang
