Reading Lately

Lately, my willingness to read is decreasing significantly. I’ve made target reading at least 25 book this year and I am 6 books behind this far. I’ve bought plenty of books since early 2016, however few of them are left dusted. I brought it forth and back to my house-camp each time I got my field break, and until this moment, it’s all left untouched. So, I write this post, which is dedicated to my sleeping-reading-mood. I wish this could be a booster to my reading mood. You might have a clue that my knowledge of author and book is … Continue reading Reading Lately

Shinsekai, Osaka

This post will be about me and Shinsekai, and will  be… a little bit narcissistic. 😀 Shinsekai is one popular tourist destination in Tennoji Area, Osaka, in spite of its lack of safety issue. The issue I couldn’t affirmed, whether it was true or just rumor because as far as I remembered, I’ve never felt that way. I’ve visited Shinsekai twice and I had never even once faced the safety issue. All I’ve ever felt was the excitement while walking from one lane to another. I think it was really hard to be in bad mood while in Shinsekai area, … Continue reading Shinsekai, Osaka

A Glimpse of Hakone

Three days ago, I got an opened love letter from one of my best friends, Neng Uchan. She tagged me a picture of Mount Fuji which was beautifully taken from Hakone. Both Mount Fuji and Hakone have a special place, somewhere in my heart. Back to the call, it was a sweet reminder of our first anniversary trip to Hakone. Yeaaaahhh \^0^/ (clapping my own hand for my own achievement). Even though we just spent a night there and it didn’t work as what we had planned before, I still had few good memories about it (I do hope this … Continue reading A Glimpse of Hakone

How Can I Forget You, Sydney?

No woman should have a memory. Memory in a woman is the beginning of dowdiness, said Lord Illingworth. –Woman of No Importance by Oscar Wilde- I was a little bit annoyed while reading that line in Wilde’s book, but now, I think I gradually become dull. So Sydney, in order to stop thinking about you and I become really really out-of-date because of these-so-yesterday-Sydney-stories, let’s accomplish everything here! In one post. So, here we are on my fifth day in Sydney. That was my most lazy time while in Sydney. After bidding our (temporary) goodbye, I didn’t feel like strolling … Continue reading How Can I Forget You, Sydney?

About Bon Jovi Concert in Jakarta

And I… Will love you, Baby… Always… A line from extremely famous song of Bon Jovi. I was ten when I first heard that song from my older sister’s radio. I didn’t recognize the other words from the whole song, but “love you” and “always”. I just started learning about numbers in English back then (hey, it has been about 20 years and I’m stuck at this level. Kekekekeke), so I didn’t get the whole meaning of the song, however that was the first time, I was introduced to Uncles Bon Jovi’s song, and I liked it. I liked the … Continue reading About Bon Jovi Concert in Jakarta

The Walk of A Geisha

I’m not over with “Memoirs of A Geisha” by Arthur Golden, yes, I know that I was left too far behind from this book was published for the first time or even from its movie first coming out. However, there were few places which were written in the book that I want to share. ◊Kamo River River or stream was mentioned so many times in the book, but as far as I remember, the only one river that flows close to Gion District is Kamogawa River, one of the most popular spots for both tourist and Kyoto resident. Spending time … Continue reading The Walk of A Geisha
