About the Sun

Almost everyday, after taking a bath, I go to the eastern part of our camp’s terrace and turn my head (and also eyes) into that direction, where the sun rises, just to enjoy the various color of its light dispersion. It’s soothing. I really enjoy it. That’s one reason why I also have plenty pictures of it. By seeing the sun shines brightly everyday (even not bright), it likes sending me a new promise, a new hope, and a new strength for whatever situation I’m facing. For whatever it is, it would change somehow. Even on a cloudy day the … Continue reading About the Sun

What Song Are You Listening to?

Life is a journey, Not a destination, There are no mistakes, Just chances we’ve taken Lay down your regrets cause all we have is now Wake up in the morning And get out of bed Start making a mental list in my head Of all of the things that I am grateful for… The excerpts from “A Beautiful Day” by India Arie that lately I love to sing along almost every morning. If you were like me, you might also have your own song and procedure to start a day, especially at office. Mine usually start with entering office with … Continue reading What Song Are You Listening to?

Beautiful Legacy

When I arrived at home on my field break about a month ago, I saw my mom’s flowers had been blooming one by one, day by day, beautifully, and somehow, I had no option, but recalled my memories about mom. Those memories, which also brought back all my unspoken regret. There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real. Ah, if only I could turn back the time… Engkau pergi dengan membawa kepingan hatiku Meskipun hanya bagian kecil, aku terluka karenanya. -Loph, Ew- Kintap, … Continue reading Beautiful Legacy

Excerpts from The Little Prince

People who have been following my blog might notice that I still love reading the children’s books and collecting its quotes and excerpts, so today I’m going to share both which are inspired by my latest children’s book reading, The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupéry (I was left so far behind, wasn’t I?). Due to the laziness virus which is striking me (thank you for being existed, just to take the blame, laziness, kekekekeke), I’m not performing a detail review, but sharing my favourite excerpts. *Singing The Lazy Song-Bruno Mars* I saved all the excerpts as a self … Continue reading Excerpts from The Little Prince

7 Ups

Do you have a diary? Do you still keep writing on it? If you do, I wonder whether you were also like me who still have one, in this electronic dominated world. One of many things that I love to write on my diary is a meaningful excerpt or two or more which I randomly found. Sometimes, I wrote again the excerpts that I like to the another paper, and then pasted it anywhere that I could easily see or read and one of it is like these (I forgot where did I find it); 7 ups Wake up!! Decide … Continue reading 7 Ups

Time of Your Life – Rando Kim (Review)

I just read a book by Rando Kim, an infamous professor and prominent student’s mentor of Seoul National University. With original title; “Youth, It’s Painful” (Apeunikka Cheongchunida), Rando Kim tried to give his best support and advice for the young generation of South of Korea who has been pressured by the high expectation of family and society; to enter the best major of best university in order to be able to fit in Korea’s best company and institution as well. Even though this book not for my age, I enjoyed reading it and at some point, I stopped and nodded … Continue reading Time of Your Life – Rando Kim (Review)

I Did It, At Least

Yes, I did it, at least. I had had a long dream about my ideal one day off; it wasn’t perfectly the same as what I had been dreaming of, but almost. It wasn’t a big, amazing, or luxury idea either. It was a simple but wasn’t easy to fulfilled by me. I had been dreaming about a day off of laying my lazy body on a white sand isolated beach. It had to be an isolated one, I had to be alone. I had been imagining it with stock of my favourite books and snacks. Reading the whole book … Continue reading I Did It, At Least
